About the program

About the research programme Culture and Creativity Pedagogy (CC-Ped)

A Research Programme at Stord/Haugesund University College.

The research programme “Culture and Creativity Pedagogy” (CC-Ped) focus on the interactions between pedagogy/didactics and Arts and Culture in a range of different areas and contexts.

Aims:

  • Develop new R & D based experience and knowledge in practical, aesthtetic, creative and embodied learning processes in kindergartens, schools, teacher education and other relevant contexts.
  • Develop and establish R &D projects in arts and sports education in co-operation with local, regional, national and international partners.
  • Study and promote arts, aesthetics, culture and creativities in different areas of learning and education
  • Develop new ways for sharing, publication and impact of relevant programme research
  • Develop video-based resources for learning and teaching in relevant areas.

The programme has 3 target areas:

  1. Didactic R &D projects and activities
  2. Artistic research and curriculum development
  3. R & D based teacher education and community work

The programme is chaired by professor Magne I. Espeland.

The programme has presently 1 ph.d candidate:

At Stord/Haugesund University College the programme co-operate closely with the master programme “Creative subjects and aesthetic learning processes”, and different 1 and 4- year programmes in music and general teacher education.
