The research group runs project “Improvisation in teacher education” (IMTE) financed by the Norwegian Research Council 2013- 2017, and is a co-operation project between CC-Ped and the research programme Practicum Research at Department of Teacher Education and Culture Studies at Stord/Haugesund University College. The research group consist of approx. 20 staff, including 4 Ph.D candidates, and 16 teacher educators and researchers and advisors. The main part of the project is completed in 2016 but Ph.d candidates continue throughout 2017. The group has produced a number of articles and conference papers.

This research group consist of academic staff from music, art and craft and drama working in Western University of Applied Sciences (HVL). Members are also practicing artists from these areas. The main focus of the research group is to investigate the relationship between artistic and educational research and practice.
This research group consists of teacher educators from music, arts and craft, and physical education. The group members are involved in several projects where the research focus is teaching and teacher education in these subjects. Group members have e.g. written national reports on the status and situation for these subjects in Norway (survey) and some are involved in international projects connected to teacher education, e.g. CODIME
